Foton America Bus Co., Inc. will have a 40’ CNG city transit bus displayed at CUTA in Montreal, QC. Its Canadian distributor, Macnab Bus Sales of Ingersoll, will represent Foton America. The bus has been driven from Birmingham, AL to Montreal, and will leave for its display in Florida starting November 14, 2009.

The bus is poised to have a significant impact on the Canadian market. With an obvious price advantage over other buses in the market, it will also be partially assembled in Ontario. “What percentage of assembly has yet to be determined, but there will be Canadian content integrated into the bus,” says CEO, Cliff Clare.

Clare also pointed out the need to have a presence in Canada to compete with domestic manufacturers. “Macnab Bus Sales has a long standing relationship with transit authorities across the country, they have a sterling reputation, and we know that they are the right group to handle the Canadian market for Foton America.”
